An English heirloom, the Brits call this variety Mr. Stripey, but in America it is known as Tigerella. These unique tomatoes are noted for their stripes, hence the name. The 2-inch, 2-4 oz. tomatoes are quite beautiful. When immature they are a light green with dark green stripes. When mature the stripes alternate between bright red and yellow-orange. Red-orange, juicy flesh. Makes a lovely salad with Green Zebra. Brisk, tangy, sweet-tart flavor. The vigorous plants are early to mature and produce prolifically, so need to be staked. Yields are high even in cool summers. Grows well outdoors or in a greenhouse. Good disease resistance. Indeterminate. Matures 55-75 days from transplant. Packet contains at least 30 seeds.
