Said to be of Swedish origin, this heirloom is very cold-tolerant and is one of the earliest tomatoes to ripen, doing exceptionally well in cool northern areas. A good choice for small gardens or containers, the potato-leaf plants form bushes about 3 feet tall. Commonly sets an initial crop of 60 fruits and then keeps producing for the rest of the season. Glacier is surprisingly sweet for an ultra-early type. Its good tomato flavor consistently wins early-season taste tests. The crack resistant, round, 2-3 inch, bright orange-red fruits weigh 2-3 ounces and are perfect for salads or fresh eating. Semi-determinate, 55 days from transplant. Packet contains at least 30 seeds.
