This one is well named! The red-pink, heart-shaped beafsteak fruits can weigh a whopping 2 lbs, and can easily reach 6" across. One slice fills up a sandwich. This variety has the potential to produce record, giant-sized fruits, especially if thinned. This variety wins taste tests for its meaty, fine quality flesh and hearty, balanced flavor. Absolutely the best for eating fresh in salads, salsas, and for slicing, but they are good for canning and sauces as well. Fruit sets a bit later than some other varieties so it sometimes takes a bit of patience for these to start producing, depending on the weather. But once they start, they are prolific late season producers, and will need staking. Indeterminate. Matures 80-100 days from transplant. Packet contains at least 30 seeds.
