A big, flavorful, oxheart-type heirloom from Germany that is shaped like a giant red strawberry. The shoulders are smooth to slightly ribbed and slower to ripen. The 3” fruits average 10 oz., but can grow to 1 pound or more. Solidly meaty with few seeds and little juice, yet big on robust, old-fashioned tomato flavor that starts out on the acid side followed by a lingering sweetness. A perfect sandwich tomato, it’s also good in salads and great for canning. Tall plants yield an abundance of fruits, so will benefit from staking. Indeterminate, 80-85 days from transplant. Packet contains at least 30 seeds.
